Small Life Studio

This week our small business feature is all about Small Life Studio.

Small Life Studio is owned by Ella & Gray in sunny California. They have two kiddos (Wes and Miles) and have been crafting items since their oldest one was born. These four are a family of adventure and love camping, hiking, geocaching and snuggling under the covers with some good books. As a family they value hard work, respect, love and being kind to others and they hope that is felt in their shop and how they interact with their customers.

Their store is an extension of their creative passion and is something that they had always talked about doing but recently started. When they lived in a small space and needed items for their son that would fit said space they went to the drawing board and made what they needed. Ella makes the designs and Gray, the master carpenter, executes them for her. She also runs an AMAZING blog called Finchfoundblog.com. As a team they like to create things for kids that help support who they are as people, their creativity, and their development.

This week we got to play with two of their items, wooden cars for each of my kiddos. First of all, my son eats, breathes, and lives for cars so this was a dream item for him. Since most cars we own aren't "girly" it was nice to get one for my daughter that was clearly a girl car--she loves the glitter! The cars are made so well and they are easy to hold onto which is a plus. Especially when the cars turn into "airplanes" and wall-riders. They make so many amazing toys for kids including boats, tractors, roadsters, tops, play gyms, and more. Plus their packaging is awesome, each of the cars came in their own fabric bags with hand stamped tags.
