Summer is just around the corner, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite summer gear.
First is the Bobble water bottle. We are at parks a lot and it is nice to have a filter built in to the bottle so I don't have to worry about my kids drinking gross city water. There are a variety of similar products on the market, but this is what we use and we love it. It is easy for my kids to open as well, an added bonus I'd say!
Second is a snack tupperware. I got an amazing one from Babies R Us that is a bowl with a three (or four) way divider. The lid has a cap that opens over one of the divided sections at a time and your baby can pour or grab food from that section. I totally love it. I think it is actually intended for formula/baby cereal, but I used it for cheerios and puffs and it worked well. Better than for formula in my opinion.
Third is a hat! My kids are white and definitely need them (unlike me who never wore sunscreen or hats growing up). They are currently sporting fedoras, which is awesome, and they keep their heads/faces from being burned. My little guy is totally bald and a couple of months ago we were at the park and I didn't even think about covering his head. The next day he had a red circle on top of his head but his face was fine... it took me a minute to realize he had gotten sunburned just on top of his head. We got his from Old Navy and hers from The Children's Place.
Fourth is summer teething mittens. These have been a big seller lately and I love toting them around for my son. He is almost 9 months but only has two teeth. I made some in a large for him and it has been perfect! He still uses them all the time and since they have the moisture-wicking fabric inside, his hands stay dry!
Fifth is hand sanitizer wipes. There are a billion varieties at varying price points, so pick your favorite pack and remember them! We do a lot more public activities (with all the other kids) and there are a lot more germs!
